FOSTER COMMENTS: 

Peanut  is a 1.5 year old Feist mix who weighs about 19 pounds.  She LOVES people,  kisses, snuggling and hugs. She will sit on your lap or next to you for hours.  She is extremely lovable and sweet.  Everyone who meets her falls in love with her 

Peanut lives with other dogs in her foster home.  She loves dogs and would probably prefer to live in a forever home with dogs.  I think she would be ok without a furry sibling if her family gave her tons of attention.  She also lives with cats and has no issues with them.  She is just very curious and friendly to them. Peanut also lives with children in her foster home and is extremely friendly and loveable.  She does jump so would probably be better for older children in her forever home. 

Peanut is totally housebroken!   She goes all night without an accident.  She is also totally crate trained.  She doesn’t love going in it but will stay without a problem.   At night she sleeps on a dog bed, on the couch, or with our daughter in her bed.  

Peanut  has a moderate activity level.  She likes to walk and run in the fenced yard with the other dogs but can sit on the couch with us as long as we do.  She’s still learning the leash but I think she’d do ok without the fenced yard.  Peanut is a good eater and very smart.  We have taught her to sit and we are working on other commands.  She is a good watch dog and will bark if someone comes to the door. 

Peanut is an awesome dog!!!  We are so tempted to keep her, but we already have too many.  Even the vet considered keeping her.  Everyone who meets her loves her. She is a great size and so lovable.  She will make someone very happy. We will be sad to see her go. 

EVERY DOG HAS A STORY:   Peanut was found as a stray and never claimed.  BFPA stepped up and took her in to help her find her forever home.  Some of the information contained in this biography includes approximations based on our expertise and is not guaranteed.  Applicants must live no further than one hour from Cary NC as our dogs must be seen by a BFPA veterinarian for all medical care prior to adoptions being finalized.  Our foster guardians deliver dogs to their new homes for adoption trials and we do home visits to finalize all adoptions.  We therefore require applicants to live within an hour's drive of Cary NC.

Fee is $225 for dogs, $115 for cats.
