FOSTER COMMENTS:
Banks is a beautiful 6 month old hound mix puppy at 21 pounds. He is a sweet, goofy boy who has a lot of love to give.
Banks is very friendly and enjoys meeting new people. He loves other dogs and likes to play with them at the dog park. Banks is interested in cats, but does not bark or chase them. He would be fine with dog savvy cats. He has not had the opportunity to be around children yet.
We are working on housetraining and he is coming along well for a puppy. Currently he can go 2-3 hours during the day between potty breaks. Banks is usually quiet, but will fuss if he needs to go out to the bathroom when he is in his crate. Banks is crate trained and does very well in his crate. He likes to sleep in his crate at night. Banks is very smart and a fast learner. He has learned to sit for treats and will come when you call his name or make "kissing" noise. He also knows "get in your crate" and we are working on "down".
Banks activity level is moderate. He enjoys walks and playing with other dogs at the dog park. A fenced yard would be nice to have, but he seems to be doing very well with several walks per day. He is still young, so learning how to walk on a leash and to not play with the leash is a work in progress.
Banks loves belly rubs, naps in the sun and playing with his stuffed toys. Playing chase with other pups at the dog park is also a favorite. He enjoys hanging out with his foster sisters and his people just as much as he likes to play at the dog park.
EVERY DOG HAS A STORY:
Banks and his sibling were tossed out of a car window on a rural road. A witness got Banks and his sibling and brought them to a shelter. BFPA stepped up and took in the pups to help them find their forever home. Some of the information contained in this biography includes approximations based on our expertise and is not guaranteed.
