FOSTER  COMMENTS:  Vanilla is super sweet and playful.  He gets along very well with other dogs and people.   He sleeps in a crate or  a  puppy pen with his brother who is also being fostered in the same home.  We are working on potty training and are using  puppy pads.  Vanilla loves to play but also loves  to be held and cuddled.    

While  puppies  can be a lot  of  fun,  they also require a lot  of work, patience and training  to be the  best dog possible.  They can scratch, nip and mouth (play  bite) so usually are not  the best fit for small children.  Adopters  must  be  able  to let  them  out frequently  while they are housebreaking them and have a plan to accommodate  the puppies needs if they are left for long periods during  the day. 

ADOPTING A YOUNG PUPPY FROM BFPA: Requires that you live no further than a 30-mile radius from the Triangle area of North Carolina, as you must be close enough for us to meet all the medical procedures we cover before final adoption. We prefer to adopt young puppies to people who have previous experience owning a dog and live in a single family house rather than an apartment, condo or townhome. EVERY DOG HAS A STORY: Vanilla along with 5 siblings  were found  in  a dumpster  and  taken to  a  shelter.   When Best Friend Pet Adoption heard about these tiny  sweet  puppies,  we stepped in  to  save  them  from  spending time  in  the  shelter.   They are  now looking for their  forever  homes.
