FOSTER COMMENTS: 

Peaches is a 3 year old Chihuahua mix.  She is 6 pounds of pure love!  Peaches is the perfect companion if you wants an affectionate little snuggler.

Peaches is  timid around strangers but SUPER affectionate once she gets comfy with you...like in under an hour.  She  is the PERFECT apartment dog!  The only time I have heard her bark is when someone new came into the house.   She is friendly with other dogs near her size but she doesn't play with them.  She prefers to watch at a safe distance.

Peaches will adapt to either situation of being an only dog or joining a pack with a furry member already.    As long as she's with her human more than she's not, she'll be a happy camper.  

Peaches is a Pooch of Leisure with a low activity level even though she's very young.  She likes to spend her day snoozing on her Human's lap 90 % of the time.  She doesn't tolerate the cold or long walks,  so short, frequent potty breaks is all she desires.

Peaches walks very well on a leash but typically doesn't walk fast.  No fence is required...I don't think Peaches would know what to do with the yard if she had one.  She does not require a crate as she's well mannered and has zero destructive tendencies.  She will always take advantage of outside potty breaks but is also potty pad trained for times when her human is preoccupied.

Peaches would be the perfect companion for someone that  wants an affectionate little snuggler. Peaches' goal in life is just to lay on your lap to snuggle and be loved.   She is also a budding fashionista .  She absolutely loves to wear clothes!  And she has become quite the diva being walked in colder weather...she must have her snuggly coat or sweater on to show off in front of the neighborhood dogs.

Applicants must live no further than one hour from Cary NC as our dogs must be seen by a BFPA veterinarian for all medical care prior to adoptions being finalized.  Our foster guardians deliver dogs to their new homes for adoption trials and we do home visits to finalize all adoptions.  We therefore require applicants to live within an hours drive of Cary NC.
