FOSTER COMMENTS: 

Neville is a 3 month old, 20 lb. Plott Hound mix puppy.  It is estimated he will be about 60 lbs. when fully grown.  He is a sweet, loving dog whose loyalty really stands out.  He is looking for his forever family that he can have a tight bond with.

Neville is very friendly with dogs and humans, big and small!  He’s very playful and affectionate. Neville would love a child to run and play fetch with then snuggle with when he’s tired. 

He has a moderate energy level and could be an only dog or have furry sibling to play with. 
A fenced in yard would be nice to have but not required.  He will be fine with walks during the day and somewhere safe to run and chase, off leash (ie. dog park).

As Neville is a puppy we are working on house training.  He has not had any accidents at my home, but he is a puppy so they can happen.  He is crate trained and he loves his crate. I leave the door open when I’m home and he’ll go in there for his naps and at bedtime. At night he is very quiet in his crate all night.

Neville  is very well behaved for a puppy. He is so sweet and smart. He’s already doing great at learning commands (sit, down, shake, heel). He really likes to please and will do great in a home that has an interest in training/leading/teaching dogs.

EVERY DOG HAS A STORY:

Neville was found as a stray and taken to a rural shelter.  No one claimed him.  BFPA stepped up to help Neville find his forever home.

Applicants must live no further than one hour from Cary NC as our dogs must be seen by a BFPA veterinarian for all medical care prior to adoptions being finalized.  Our foster guardians deliver dogs to their new homes for adoption trials and we do home visits to finalize all adoptions.  We therefore require applicants to live within an hours drive of Cary NC.

Therefore, we prefer potential adopters live a reasonable distance to the Triangle area (Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill) of North Carolina.  All animals will be up to date on all  vaccinations, spayed/neutered and micro chipped before the adoption  is finalized. Fee is $225 for dogs, $115 for cats.
