All dogs on our website ARE available and require an approved application. We process applications in the order they are received.

Flynn is a husky mix puppy who is 2 months old. He will be at least 50-60 lbs when full grown.  He had lots of energy but also likes to cuddle and be petted.  He has learned how to use a doggie door and can go up and down stairs.  He loves to play with his sibling and isn't intimidated by the large dogs in his foster home.  We do not know how he will do with cats or young children.  He would do best with older children.  

Flynn is working on his housebreaking skills but any adopter will need to continue with this training.  He needs to be taken outside several times a day (minimum). While puppies can be a lot of fun, adopters need to realize that a puppy requires a lot of work, training and patience.  

Flynn would like an active family who will be able to give him adequate exercise as he grows up. He is likely to be a very active boy!  If you think you have the right type of home for Flynn, please submit an application.

EVERY DOG HAS A STORY: Flynn and his siblings were found abandoned in the woods and taken to a shelter.  Best Friend Pet Adoption  rescued them and is now trying to find home for them

ADOPTING A YOUNG PUPPY FROM BFPA: Requires that you live no further than a 30-mile radius from the Triangle area of North Carolina, as you must be close enough for us to meet all the medical procedures we cover before final adoption. We prefer to adopt young puppies to people who have previous experience owning a dog and live in a single family house rather than an apartment, condo or townhome. Puppies can be vocal when left alone and shared walls are sometimes an issue.  Any children in the home under 6 years old must have experience living with a dog in their home or have experience around dog/puppies.

Therefore, we prefer potential adopters live a reasonable distance to the Triangle area (Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill) of North Carolina.  All animals will be up to date on all  vaccinations, spayed/neutered and micro chipped before the adoption  is finalized. Fee is $225 for dogs, $115 for cats.
