Sage is a typical young lab mix puppy eager to start exploring the world on her own. She is close to 3 months old, weighs 11 lbs and could be around 60 when full grown. She is a fun loving sweet girl who likes to play and run around the fenced backyard.    Sage loves people and other dogs.  She will be ready for adoption on 11/13/21 but could have a meet and greet with approved adopters before then. 

Sage is working on her housebreaking skills but is still a young puppy who needs lots of attention and training.  Sage is just starting to get used to being on a leash.   Sage is  will be a great addition to someones home and hopes you will consider her to be the new addition in your family! 

While puppies can be so much fun, they also require a lot of work and training to become the best dog possible.  At this age, Sage will need to go outside often to become housebroken, so this needs to be taken into account.  They will nip, bite and mouth so may not be the best fit for very young children who do not have experience around dogs or puppies.  

EVERY DOG HAS A STORY: Sage was rescued from a rural shelter and  develop Parvo shortly after coming to Best Friend Pet Adoption.  We successful treated her and she is now a happy, healthy little pup who wants to part of a loving family.  Could that family be yours??

ADOPTING A YOUNG PUPPY FROM BFPA: Requires that you live no further than a 30-mile radius from the Triangle area of North Carolina, as you must be close enough for us to meet all the medical procedures we cover before final adoption. We prefer to adopt young puppies to people who have previous experience owning a dog and live in a single family house rather than an apartment, condo or townhome. Puppies can be vocal when left alone and shared walls are sometimes an issue.  Any children in the home under 6 years old must have experience living with a dog in their home.

Therefore, we prefer potential adopters live a reasonable distance to the Triangle area (Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill) of North Carolina.  All animals will be up to date on all  vaccinations, spayed/neutered and micro chipped before the adoption  is finalized. Fee is $225 for dogs, $115 for cats.
