She is as sweet as they come. She loves people and she fits in any size lap. You want to cuddle all day? She's your girl. You want to play outside or go for a low key 2 mile walk? She's ready for you. Maggie Mae might have snow on the roof but she's got plenty of fire in the stove! She'd been picked up as a stray and sat in a shelter for 6 weeks before we rescued her. There's no doubt she'd previously had a home (she was immediately comfortable in our house) but nobody came looking for her. She loves children and seemed fine with cats at the shelter. Children should be respectful of her smaller stature. She was very quiet and meek when she first came to our house but soon opened up to show what a lover she is. She is happy to follow us around or just lay on the couch as the world goes by. She's very gentle but will also hop around like a kangaroo to get your attention. Cuddling, eating and playing/sniffing around outside are her passions. She loves other dogs, once she gets to know them. She'd be fine as your one and only or part of your pack. Maggie Mae is great on a leash (we use a harness for her) and she loves her walks - including the two mile walks. She is very treat motivated and easy to train. She is crate trained and is comfortable in her crate and sleeps there. Maggie Mae is hard of hearing but that doesn't stop her, she responds to a whistle. Maggie Mae is an absolute love that is looking for a family where there is always a lap available and love to share. Could you have the lap the she is looking for?
