We process applications in the order they are received. Timmy is a typical young mixed breed puppy eager to start exploring the world on his own. He is around 2 months old, weighs 8 lbs and could be around 40 or so when full grown. He is quite adventurous and but also loves to be cuddled when he is done playing. Timmy is used to being in a puppy pen and is working on his housebreaking skills. He is still a young puppy who needs lots of attention and training. He loves to play and loves all people and other dogs. He has not been living with a cat but usually puppies will want to play with them. Timmy will be a great addition to someones home. While puppies can be so much fun, they also require a lot of work and training to become the best dog possible. At this age, Timmy will need to go outside often to become housebroken, so this needs to be taken into account. They will nip, bite and mouth so may not be the best fit for very young children w/o experience around dogs or puppies. EVERY DOG HAS A STORY: Timmy was dumped on the side of the road and found by a BFPA volunteer. We are now making sure that Timmy finds his forever home. ADOPTING A YOUNG PUPPY FROM BFPA: Requires that you live no further than a 30-mile radius from the Triangle area of North Carolina, as you must be close enough for us to meet all the medical procedures we cover before final adoption. We prefer to adopt young puppies to people who have previous experience owning a dog and live in a single family house rather than an apartment, condo or townhome. Puppies can be vocal when left alone and shared walls are sometimes an issue. Any children in the home under 6 years old must have experience living with a dog in their home. PLEASE NOTE: Timmy has only had one set of vaccines so can only live where he has his own yard. He cannot live in a multifamily building where he does not have his own yard since he is still susceptible to parvo until he gets his second set of vaccines the beginning of January.
