FOSTER COMMENTS: 

Theo is a 3 month old, 9 pound Chihuahua mix.  He is an  adorable pup who is full of energy and looking for his forever home. He might be around 30 when full grown. 

Theo is so friendly and full of cuddles, love and joy.  He loves other dogs and cats too.  He lives with a cat and has learned great kitty manners.  They get along so well, they snuggle together.

We are working with Theo on housetraining.  He is a very fast learner and rarely has accidents.  He must be let outside on a regular basis since at this stage, he can only go about 3 hours without a bathroom break. He is so smart, he waits by the door when he needs to go. He is familiar with the crate and I am working on leash training.  If his forever home has a fenced yard that would be great because he likes to lounge outside but if not, leash walking would be sufficient.

Theo is a very loving dog.  He is likes to talk to you and be part of your world.  Please submit an application forTheo and see if he is the right fit for your family.

ADOPTING A YOUNG PUPPY FROM BFPA: Requires that you live no further than a 30-mile radius from the Triangle area of North Carolina, as you must be close enough for us to meet all the medical procedures we cover before final adoption. We prefer to adopt young puppies to people who have previous experience owning a dog and live in a single family house rather than an apartment, condo or townhome. Puppies can be vocal when left alone and shared walls are sometimes an issue.  Any children in the home under 6 years old must have experience living with a dog in their home.

Theo was found as a stray in a rural county after he was dumped with his two sibling. Some.   Some of the information contained in this biography includes approximations based on our expertise and is not guaranteed.  Applicants must live no further than one hour from Cary NC as our dogs must be seen by a BFPA veterinarian for all medical care prior to adoptions being finalized.  Our foster guardians deliver dogs to their new homes for adoption trials and we do home visits to finalize all adoptions.  We therefore require applicants to live within an hours drive of Cary NC.

Fee is $225 for dogs, $115 for cats.
