FOSTER COMMENTS: Finn is estimated to be a 2–3-year-old, 57-pound labrador/greyhound mix. He is looking for a home with a comfy place to sleep and a person he can love. Finn is a friendly fella that likes everyone he meets! He gets along very well with other dogs and loves to play. He communicates very well with other dogs when at the dog park and takes cues well during play. He tends to pick up on the size and play styles of other dogs and also communicates his own boundaries appropriately. Since he sometimes doesn't realize how strong he is, dogs around his size or larger would be best. Finn could be an only dog; however, he would want the opportunity to have play dates with other dogs. He does love being around people and believe he would do best in a home where the family is home often or there was another dog he could hang out with. Finn is a high energy pup and will need daily exercise. He likes long walks and also a place to run around. He loves to get zoomies out and play fetch with his toys but tires after 15-20mins. He also adores snuggling with his people and other dogs. Finn gets along great with kids and has lived with children aged 10 - 18yo with a previous foster. He hasn't been around very young kids. He also has not lived with a kitty that we know about but has met them a couple of times and had no issues. Finn is house trained and can be left out and trusted when no one is home. He is still working on his leash manners so will need an adopter that is willing to continue to help him with this. A fenced yard is great, but he has figured out how to climb over a fence especially if there are squirrels around. He would need to be trained on a wireless fence system to supplement any existing traditional fence. Best Friend Pet Adoption will provide this system during a trial if the adopter is willing to train Finn using it. Finn is an absolute sweetheart that is very affectionate and just wants to be loved. He will make a great dog for someone who is active and looking for a sweet companion. Do you think that person/ family is you? EVERY DOG HAS A STORY: Finn was found as a stray with another dog and was malnourished when found. No one claimed him, so BFPA took him in to help him find his forever home.
