FOSTER COMMENTS:

Khloe is a five year old hound mix. She is a 38 pounds snuggler who loves her humans! She will need a dedicated owner who is willing to keep working with her so she can gain confidence.  Khloe is not used to being alone for long during the day.  Her ideal adopter will be retired or working from home.

Khloe is very friendly with people and wants to be around people.  I work from home. She likes to sleeps in the sun by the back door which is almost all glass (she loves to look outside) or she curls up in the corner of the couch. If I go to another level of the house she will come up to see where I am an lies down and wait for me nearby. Khloe has met children in passing on a walk. She is patient and lets them pet her. While she might do OK with one child, she will do best in a quiet home with

Khloe would do best as an only dog. She has a tendency to chase cats, so would do best in a home without cats.   She does well on a leash and is attentive to commands.   She would love a fenced yard but also likes her walks.

Khloe is basically housebroken but an adopter needs to be aware of her cues to go outside.  She can go six to eight hours between a potty break.  work from home so she typically does not wait that long.  Khloe will give you signals when she needs to go outside.  We tried a bell by the door but she wasn't a fan.

Khloe is pretty low energy usually.  She does have a 3-5 minute “break” everyday where she plays and rolls around and then she starts barking and running in a circle grabbing toys or chasing her tail. When she is finished she goes back to lying down.

Khloe is crate trained.  She sleeps in the crate and goes in the crate when I go out or for a break in the daytime. She yelps on and off for a few minutes and then settles down. I give her a special treat in there that she doesn’t get any other time.

Khloe is a snuggler. She likes to be close by and get belly rubs and pets. She loves to take walks, rides in the car and to play with toys with me. She loves her people.  Khloe is very sweet and so full of love. She will make someone a great companion.

EVERY DOG HAS A STORY:
