FOSTER COMMENTS:

Baron is a 5 year old Dachshund who is 18 pounds.  He is very friendly but doesn't like to be picked up. He loves to snuggle on the couch.

Baron has moderate energy inside but higher energy when outside doing his roomies and playing with other dogs in his foster home.   Baron loves to chase and be chased by other dogs.  Baron would love to have a fenced yard for running zoomies, flying short distances just above the ground and sun bathing in cooler weather.  He enjoys leash walks as well.

Baron is house, crate and leash trained.  He does pull a bit on leash but is generally easily redirected.  Possibly Baron could be an only dog if his humans were home a lot.  Baron has always been home with a human or a foster canine siblings so he may be more relaxed with another pet in the home.

Baron does well with dog savvy cats. He has not been observed around children.   Baron likes to talk so an apartment would not be ideal.  He has been left both in crate and with full run of the home without any issue.

Baron is a dog with a big personality in a compact body.  He is affectionate with adults and really turns on the charm when out in public.  When he isn't chasing canine siblings, taking flying leaps across the yard, or sniffing and rolling around in the grass, Baron enjoys snuggling on the couch.

EVERY DOG HAS A STORY:

Baron was found as a stray and never reclaimed at the animal shelter.  This cute guy was taken in by BFPA to help find his forever home.

Some of the information contained in this biography includes approximations based on our expertise and is not guaranteed.

Applicants must live no further than one hour from Cary NC as our dogs must be seen by a BFPA veterinarian for all medical care prior to adoptions being finalized.  Our foster guardians deliver dogs to their new homes for adoption trials and we do home visits to finalize all adoptions.  We therefore require applicants to live within an hours drive of Cary NC.
