FOSTER COMMENTS:

Zeke is a very "go with the flow" kind of personality.  He is happy to be on the couch watching a movie, going for hikes, playing at daycare or taking a nap in his crate.   He is just a very happy guy!  Zeke is a Cattle Dog/ German Shepherd mix.  He is full grown at 25 pounds and 2 years old.

Zeke is friendly to all humans, big and small as well as all dogs he has met..  He has met a 2 year old and a 4 year old and did very well When meeting new dogs, he tends to be the submissive one.  He has met dog friendly adult barn cats and was non reactive. Cat intros should be done slow and appropriate - if the cat runs, he may chase.

Zeke is housebroken! He does great on his leash for walks.  He does like to sunbathe and hang out on a patio chair or dog bed in our fenced yard.  A fenced yard would be nice to have not but necessary.  He loves to play with anyone who is around, he LOVES jumping on the bed. and he loves playing in the water.

Zeke is crate trained! I have left  Zeke for about 6-7 hours in his crate and he did fine. Right now he sleeps in his crate but in his forever home that could surely change.

Zeke would fit in to almost any household. He's a good little dude that likes going for walks and car rides and seems happy in almost any situation. You don't find many pets with such a easy going and bright personality that gets along with every dog and person they come across. Zeke loves to love and to be loved.

Zeke was found as a stray and never claimed.  BFPA took him in to help  him find his forever home.

Applicants must live no further than one hour from Cary NC as our dogs must be seen by a BFPA veterinarian for all medical care prior to adoptions being finalized.  Our foster guardians deliver dogs to their new homes for adoption trials and we do home visits to finalize all adoptions.  We therefore require applicants to live within an hours drive of Cary NC.

Fee is $225 for dogs, $115 for cats.
