FOSTER COMMENTS:

Zoey is a senior girl.  She is 45lbs and is an American Staffordshire/Boxer mix.  She loves to Cuddle on the couch next to her humans and go for walks in the woods.

Zoey is extremely outgoing and adores people.  She has never met a stranger!   She does very well with other dogs and acts as the greeter at the dog park.  She isn't crazy about puppies and can be protective of her bowl at feeding time

Zoey has been around cats, she tolerates them but also tends to chase them.  She has been around babies and toddler and is very patient and docile with them.

Zoeys house manners are wonderful.  She does pretty well in her crate but it is not used often because it is not necessary.  At night she sleeps in her own bed next to her humans.  She is generally quiet and rarely barks so she could be an apartment dog.  She is completely and reliably housebroken.  She does her business right away when walked.  She easily can go 8 hours between potty breaks if necessary.

For a senior dog, Zoey retains a bouncy energy when stimulated but is very chill in general.  She loves walks and is great on a leash but will pull is a rabbit or squirrel shows up.   She does not require a fenced yard.

Zoeys favorite things to do are playing tug of war, walking in the woods,  chewing her busy bone and cuddling on the couch next to her humans. She could join a family with another dog but we think her preference would be as an only dog.   Zoey is very smart and understands the commands: sit, stay, come, down and speak.

Zoey is a loyal, low maintenance dog that rarely sheds or barks.  She has a loving disposition and is a great companion that doesn't require constant attention.  She has never had any health issues and takes no medicines.  Zoey is a wonderfully sweet dog who adores people and would make a great addition to a loving family.

EVERY DOG HAS A STORY:  Best Friend Pet Adoption is helping to rehome this great dog.  Due to unexpected circumstances, her owner is no longer able to give Zoey the type of home she needs.  We hope that YOUR home will be the right home for Zoey.
