Ruby is a sweet lemon beagle.  She is an 8yo girl who is crate trained and  has plenty of energy.  She LOVES food!  She LOVES spending time outdoors, sniffing around, discovering new scents, and going for walks.  
 

Ruby would enjoy a fenced yard. But Ruby is used to very long walks, so needs more than just a 10 or 15 minute stroll to get her exercise. Don’t let her age fool you, she has plenty of energy. 

Ruby is very easy to be around, as she is not demanding at all, she is quiet.  She truly is a companion dog who loves her humans. In the evenings, she’s certainly up for keeping you company on the back porch or the couch and will snuggle right up to you under a blanket if you let her.  She enjoys her toys and will carry them around the house to her different dog beds.  

Ruby would be fine as a solo dog but does fine with dogs of all sizes.  Her tail is always wagging, she is friendly and doesn’t have a mean bone in her body.  She’s never met a stranger.  Ruby will do best in a home with children over 12. And would love to have a human around much of the day. 

If you are looking for a friendly dog who will keep you company and give you lots of love, Ruby is your girl.

Applicants must live no further than one hour from Cary NC as our dogs must be seen by a BFPA veterinarian for all medical care prior to adoptions being finalized.  Our foster guardians deliver dogs to their new homes for adoption trials and we do home visits to finalize all adoptions.  We therefore require applicants to live within an hours drive of Cary NC.

Therefore, we prefer potential adopters live a reasonable distance to the Triangle area (Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill) of North Carolina.  All animals will be up to date on all  vaccinations, spayed/neutered and micro chipped before the adoption  is finalized. Fee is $225 for dogs, $115 for cats.
