Meet Maple – a 1.5-year-old, female Pitty mix looking for a new loving home she can thrive in. She is spayed and weighs 55lbs. Maple is extremely sweet and loves all the attention she can get. Her owners are so disheartened that they have to rehome her at this time due to her and their other little dog not coexisting the best inside the home. Read below to learn more about Maple and to see if she is a good fit for you: Vaccinations? Up-to-date on all vaccines and receives flea/heartworm prevention monthly Friendly or Timid? Maple is extremely friendly Does she get along well with other dogs? For the most part yes. Maple loves playing with other dogs at local dog parks and in outdoor spaces. However, Maple loves being the center of attention in her home which requires her to be the only pet in her new home. Is she good around children? Maple has not been around too many children, but the small interactions she has had with them has been great. Because of her size and resource guarding tendencies the previous owners think she will be best suited in a home with children 10 years + Housebroken? Yes Crate Trained? Yes. Maple does very good in the crate. Activity Level? Maple is a young dog who requires a very active household. She enjoys going for walks and running in open fields. Fenced in yard? Yes. Maple grew up in a home with a fenced in yard and enjoys the freedom that a fenced in yard provides. Leash Puller? Yes and no. Maple was put in professional training to help her master her obedience skills which are above average. When treats and commands are involved such as “heel” she understands that pulling is not accepted, but if a squirrel crosses her line of vision, she tends to forget…ha! Should she be the only pet? YES. This is a must as she tends to compete for resources and attention with other dogs in the house. Favorite Toy? Tennis ball (she will the throw the tennis ball around for hours if you let her) Why Maple? Easy, she is the sweetest dog in the entire world. She is a huge cuddler and could stare into your eyes all day if you let her. She is a very easy to please dog as long as she’s got a bone, her tennis ball, a yard, and all the love. Maple will melt your heart the moment you meet her. Maple has gone on many long road trips and loves traveling. She will easily fit into her new family’s active lifestyle.
