Meet Whopper who was ~8 weeks old and weighed 11 lbs on March 13th. She is expected to be 60 lbs or more once she is full grown. Whopper is a fun loving puppy who can't wait to see what the world has to offer. She loves to play with her siblings and likes to be around her human. She is well on her way to being housebroken if taken outside on a regular basis.
Her Mother is 42lbs and was rescued by Best Friend Pet Adoption when her puppies were only days old. Whopper is now ready to be adopted and is looking for her forever home. Can you give this cute gal the love and happiness she deserves?
While puppies can be a lot of fun, they also require a lot of patience and training. An adopter needs to be ready for the challenge that comes with training a puppy! They tend to mouth, nip and bite so might not be the best fit for young children who are not used to this normal behavior. Whopper has only had one set of vaccines, so will need a home with a yard of her own until she has her second vaccine in mid-April. She cannot be allowed to go into any public areas due to the risk of infection. Therefore she cannot live in multifamily dwellings or apartments with shared common grounds.
Applicants should live within 30-60 minute drive from the Triangle area of North Carolina. You must be close enough for us to meet all the medical procedures we cover before we finalize her adoption. Any adopter must be willing to travel to Raleigh for any and all medical care which is needed during Whopper's adoption trial including her spay surgery. Our fosters also deliver their dogs to the adopters home and we finalize dogs in person. So living a reasonable distance is required.
