Meet Candy who is part of the Sweet Tooth litter.  She is a gorgeous brindle lab mix puppy. Who is ready for a sweet puppy!?!?!

Candy is extremely sweet.  She is friendly to all humans and dogs.  She is very friendly and easy going around children.  I have 2 cats, she chases them for play, but is not aggressive.

She is about  90% housebroken, which is very typical for a puppy at this age.  She asks to go outside, but she doesn’t like the rain.  A fenced yard would be great, as she is quite energetic and runs around the yard with Daisy, my dog, until she’s ready to go back inside. Back inside, she falls asleep until play time.

During the day, when I’m in my home office working, she’s in her crate with the door open,  surrounded by a play pen.  Candy goes for supervised outdoor time and potty breaks every couple hours.

Candy goes to her crate when she’s tired. She likes her crate, but would rather sit with us on the couch. At night, sleeps in my room on a doggie bed on the floor.

Candy's favorite things to do are: chew on toys, run in the backyard, cuddle on the couch, eat, and play with my dog Daisy.  Candy would love a doggie sibling but she would be fine as an only dog as long as her humans are active with her. Meaning lots of playtime, indoors and outdoors and good walks.

Candy is smart, very sweet, loves to cuddle, good with other animals, no aggressive behavior, and quiet.  She is treat motivated and has learned to sit for a treat. She gets tons of play time and I think that’s important because she’s really energetic. It’s pretty much nap, playtime, eat, playtime, nap, Repeat.

She is ready to explore the world on her own and can't wait to meet her new family.   Puppies tend to mouth, nip and bite so might not be the best fit for young children who are not used to this normal behavior.

Any adopter needs to be able to travel to the Raleigh area for any and all medical care until she is spayed after she is 4 months old. Ideally, applicants should live within 30 miles of Raleigh but we may consider applicants who live up to an hour away if they commit to traveling to Raleigh for all medical appointments that are required.

EVERY DOG HAS A STORY:  Best Friend Pet Adoption rescued her Mom, Honeybun, and didn't know she was pregnant.  What a surprise when Honeybun ga ve birth shortly thereafter and had 6 gorgeous healthy puppies.   Honeybun weighs 45 pounds and we feel her puppies may be about the same size when full grown.
