All dogs on our website ARE available and require an approved Best Friend Pet Adoption application before you can be considered or meet any of our dogs.  The link to our application is in the dogs bio below.

Roxy is a 3 month old,  25 lb. Rottweiler/Husky mix puppy.   She is loving and affectionate and will make a very loyal companion.

Roxy is very friendly to every person she meets!  She has not been around small children or cats yet.  I have several dogs and she loves playing with all of them. She loves toys!  She loves picking up tennis balls and then throwing or kicking them, like playing soccer. She can entertain herself like that for a very long time, and it's the cutest thing ever!  She also loves getting snuggles and pets when she is tired (especially belly rubs). She is a growing puppy and loves to eat!

Roxy is a quiet pup. She barks occasionally when the other dogs are barking or when playing with them.  She is potty and crate trained.  We only crate Roxie when we all leave the home, which is not very often. She is very sweet about getting into her crate.  During the day when we are home, she is free to roam and at night she sleeps loose in the bedroom with us.  When we first got Roxy, she was very anxious when we put the leash on her, but now she is used to it.  We have a fenced in yard, so she has not had a ton of experience walking on a leash. We and her forever family need to work with her on that. Roxy would do fine without a fenced in yard as long as her family gives her several long walks a day to get some energy out.

Roxy would love a furry sibling but would do fine as an only dog, as long as her people give her lots of attention and exercise.  She is a typical puppy with lots of playful puppy energy, and she sometimes gets excited, hyper and mouthy.  Roxie is super cute and sweet. She loves to play and snuggle. I could watch her "play soccer" with herself all day. When I make eye contact with her, she immediately rolls over to get her belly rubbed. She will cuddle on the couch with you for hours. She is also smart and a good listener, and she's gorgeous.  She is looking for her forever family that will love her for life!

Roxy was one of 6 female puppies and their Mother who were surrendered by their owner to a rural shelter.  BFPA took in the family and is helping them all find their forever homes.   Some of the information contained in this biography includes approximations based on our expertise and is not guaranteed.

Best Friend Pet Adoption requires that you live no further than a 60 mile radius from the Triangle area of North Carolina, as you must be close enough for us to meet all the medical procedures we cover before final adoption after she is spayed at around 4-5 months of age.  An adopter must be willing to bring Roxy to the Raleigh area for all medical care until her adoption is finalized.  Our foster guardians deliver dogs to their new homes for adoption trials and we do home visits to finalize all adoptions.
