If so, please fill out our dog adoption application by copying and pasting this link in a new browser window: https://toolkit.rescuegroups.org/of/f?c=WHMSYCNC Daisy is a beautiful 3 year old female Yellow Labrador Retriever mix who weighs 55 pounds. She was rescued from a shelter and needed much kindness before she started realizing that human can be loving toward her. Once she trusts you, she will be your best friend! She can be timid with new people and needs time to feel comfortable with new people and in new settings. Daisy will need a patient experienced dog owner who can help her gain confidence. Daisy is crate trained and her crate is her safe space. She is housebroken and loves other dogs. At first meeting, she can be overly enthusiastic/energetic but plays well with both large and small dogs. She loves cats too! Daisy would be ok if her new family worked away from home and was left alone in her crate. She would do best with some time to get her energy out before being crated for the day. Daisy could be an only dog or part of a pack of furry siblings. If she is an only dog, she would still like socialization/play time with other dogs. Daisy needs a fenced yard. She likes the freedom of having her own yard and can sniff and get her roomies out in a safe environment. She would not be a good candidate for dog parks until she becomes more confident and trusting. Daisy is timid on a leash walks and needs more exposure to the good times she can have on a walk. It's clear that somebody was very unkind to Daisy at one point. She's super submissive and will move away if you move too quickly or she gets startled by something. Daisy will do best with older kids who have experience interacting respectfully with dogs. She loves stuffed animals and just wants to be where her people are. She doesn't give kisses but instead gives nose bops, when she wants you to pet her or give her attention. She's never been reactive when meeting other dogs and is very gentle when playing with my 8 pound special needs dog. Could you give Daisy the wonderful new life that she deserves? The right family will be very lucky to have this sweet goofy girl in their life.
