FOSTER FAILURE: Oreo is no longer available.
Oreo is a very sweet, smart little girl. She loves to play and will choose playing, especially trying to steal toys from her brother, over cuddles. But she does like people and especially likes to be rubbed as she settles down to sleep. Oreo is quite adventurous for such a young dog. She even braved the loud shop-vac to see what was going on.
Oreo was born on is 12/17/23 into a foster home. So Oreo has always been around humans and other dogs. Her Mom is a lab mix who weights 51 lbs but we think Oreo will be larger when full grown.
Oreo is working on her potty training and is doing very well. She is also getting used to a doggie door that goes into a small yard area that is safe for a puppy. She will need to be taken outside on a regular basis to become fully housebroken . Adopters who are not home during the day will need to have a plan which includes how to manage potty breaks for Oreo.
She is quiet puppy who will bark and growl when playing. But she doesn't bark for attention or food....wonderful! She is used to being in a puppy pen with a crate inside the pen. She will sit quietly at the edge of the pen waiting for food and attention. Then she will eat and play with her brother who is also in the same foster home. They are both great puppies who will make wonderful additions to your family.
She only has one set of puppy vaccines, so she will still be susceptible to diseases. Any adopter will need a home that has their own yard. She cannot live in apartments where she would be sharing common space where other dog may have been . Oreo cannot take potty breaks where other unknown dogs may have walked until her second vaccine around March 9th.
