Doug is a 2-year-old Border Collie/Terrier mix dog. He adjusted to the routine of our house quickly (which includes two middle sized dogs) and learned basic commands at such a fast pace that he either knew them already or is super bright. He loves to play but is also calm and snuggly. He is quite interested in squirrels so care should be had when opening the door as he will want to pursue - just tell him to stay and he listens. We have not crate trained Doug as he is can be trusted while we are gone from the house. He will occasionally find something naughty to chew but that is very rare. He will do fine if his family leaves the house for work daily. Doug loves a walk on the leash and is totally housebroken. He has loved other dogs and people we have met in our travels. We do not have children in the home so I don’t have any experience with how he would be there. He can jump a 4-foot fence so he must be leashed if in a 4 foot or less fenced yard. Having a 5/6 foot fence would be ideal. He would be great as an only dog but would be very happy to have a furry sibling to play with like he has in our home. He is a rather quiet dog except when he gets excited. Doug is a great dog and will make his forever family very happy. His markings are beautiful, and his fur is so soft!
