Meet Carrie who is a sweet 4-5 month old puppy looking for her forever home.  She is crate trained and almost housebroken when taken out on a regular schedule.  She will usually give you clues that it is time to for her to go outside and "do her business".

Carrie would love to find a home where her humans are home most of the time.  If adopters work away from the home, they would need to have a plan in place which would include someone checking on Carrie and letting her outside at least a couple times during a normal work day. This will greatly help get her to the point of being totally house broken.

She is a very friendly dog to humans and dogs. She currently lives with 3 other dogs and is learning to take cues from them.  Carrie also lives with a cat and they get along fine.  A young playful cat who is dog savvy would do well with Carries.  She not only likes to play with dogs but will also play with a cat!

She has not had a lot of exposure to children but has done well with the children she has met.  Very young children might not be the best fit though since puppies can nip and play bite. So we highly suggest that young children have prior experience around dogs/puppies.

Carrie is a quiet dog and will only bark when trying to get another pup to play with her.  Carrie does not have a lot of experience on a leash so far, so a home with a fenced yard would be ideal as she loves to be outside exploring her territory. Since she needs to be taken out often at this age, a fenced yard will also be easiest for an adopter. She has not had much leash training yet.

Carrie has never lived without another dog and will do her best in a home with another dog to play with and be her companion.  If an adopter does not have another dog, they will need to continue to socialize her with other dogs.

Carrie and her siblings were found as stays who were apparently abandoned in a rural area.  Luckily they were found, taken to a shelter and saved by Best Friend Pet Adoption. She had a rough start and spent some time in the emergency vet shortly after she was rescued. But she is as strong as they come. She's so full of life and has a ton of love to give. She's a spunky, feisty little girl who loves to play with her siblings and loves cuddling on the couch with her humans. She will make someone very happy and be a lifelong companion.

Applicants must live no further than one hour from Cary NC as our dogs must be seen by a BFPA veterinarian for all medical care prior to adoptions being finalized.  Our foster guardians deliver dogs to their new homes for adoption trials and we do home visits to finalize all adoptions.  We therefore require applicants to live within an hours drive of Cary NC.
