Meet Huckleberry who is part of the sweet Jam Litter.  This boisterous little guy is looking for his forever family! Huck is the biggest puppy in his litter and has the confidence to match. Huck is crate trained and almost totally housebroken.  He rarely has an accident in his crate.  He is learning to walk on a leash but would rather run in a fenced yard.  He can be a bit stubborn on a leash but with enough practice, he should be more familiar with leash walking. 

​He lives with a cat but the cat keeps his distance.  Huck would like to play with him. 

Huck can be vocal when left alone or he wants attention.  So living in a single family home would be best.  His tendency to bark or cry would not be ideal for multifamily homes. 

He gets excited to see new people but can be a bit fearful when strangers approach.  Huck is playful and loves to be with his people.  He is smart and would love to go to training classes to learn more and to socialize with other dogs his age. 

Puppies like Huckleberry can nip and play bite and might not be appropriate for young children who are not dog savvy.  He has would be much better with older children.

Applicants ideally should live no further than one hour from Cary NC as our dogs must be seen by a Best Friend Pet Adoption veterinarian in the Cary area for all medical care prior to adoptions being finalized.  

Our foster guardians deliver dogs to their new homes for adoption trials and we do home visits to finalize all adoptions.  We therefore prefer applicants live within an hours drive of Cary NC.

Fee is $225 for dogs, $115 for cats.
