I met the BFPA volunteer who brought 5 pups from the shelter back to Raleigh; two pups for me to foster and 3 pups from another litter. We met in the dark and cold of the night with one other volunteer that was going to foster one of the pups from the other litter. The pups seemed so tiny and scared! I thought how sad for them having to be in the shelter. I thought it would take some time for them to acclimate to being in a home with 3 dogs already and not knowing what they had been through in their short lives. I need not have worried too much! The next morning they hit the floor running! So resilient! They are growing fast! ADOPTING A YOUNG PUPPY FROM BFPA: requires that you live no further than a 30-mile radius from the Triangle area of North Carolina, as you must be close enough for us to meet all the medical procedures we cover before final adoption. We prefer to adopt young puppies to a single, couple or family who have previous experience owning a dog and live in a single family house rather than an apartment, condo or townhome. Any children in the home under 6 years old must have experience living with a dog in their home. Some of the information contained in this biography includes approximations based on our expertise and is not guaranteed. We do home visits to finalize adoptions and/or deliver the adopted dog. Therefore, we prefer potential adopters live a reasonable distance to the Triangle area (Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill) of North Carolina. INTERESTED IN ADOPTING DALE?
