STATUS: Accepting applications PERSONALITY TRAITS: Friendly and affectionate ~DOB: 2012 WEIGHT: 59.5lbs HEALTH STATUS: Ruby will be UTD on shots and on HW & flea/tick preventative prior to adoption SPAYED OR NEUTERED: Spayed MICROCHIPPED: Ruby will be micro chipped before her adoption is finalized. AROUND DOGS: Friendly AROUND CATS: When at the shelter, Ruby seemed to ignore shelter kitty, however, care should be taken if/when introducing her to a cat. AROUND CHILDREN: Untested. Care should always be taken with young children around dogs. HOUSEBROKEN: In training CRATETRAINED: In training LEASH MANNERS: This is a new experience for Ruby - she is getting used to being on leash and does very well. She doesn't pull and follows your lead. CAR RIDES: In training FOSTER PARENT COMMENTS: Ruby is one gorgeous girl! Not only does she have the looks, but she is as sweet as she is pretty. She is very friendly and affectionate to everyone she meets and already knows "sit" and "shake". She is used to living with other dogs and seems to get along well with new dogs she is introduced to. Ruby has a calm and pleasant demeanor and we think she will make a wonderful addition to her forever family! EVERY DOG HAS A STORY: Ruby and 2 other dogs were abandoned by their owners after the family was evicted from their home. They were taken to rural shelter after spending several days alone outside. BFPA rescued her and she is currently boarding with Roxy, (who is another of these dogs), in Apex. Ruby is very loving and is patiently waiting for her forever home.
