AROUND DOGS: Submissive and friendly. Loves playing with other dogs. Roxy requires another dog in her forever home.

AROUND CATS: Roxy is respectful and really enjoys the company of cats.

AROUND CHILDREN: Since Roxy is a bit shy at first, we think she should go to a home with older children.

HOUSEBROKEN: Yes

CRATETRAINED: Yes

LEASH MANNERS: Roxy was not at all used to a leash at first, but she has learned quickly. She follows your lead and does not pull.

CAR RIDES: Roxy lays down in the back seat and is a good rider.

FOSTER PARENT COMMENTS: Roxy is a really gorgeous Tri Aussie mix! She can be initially unsure of herself but comes around quickly. She has been very sweet and friendly when meeting new people and gives tail wags and lots of face kisses. Roxy loves the other dogs in her foster home, and we believe she will be happiest in a forever home with at least one other dog with which she can bond. A fenced yard would also be a plus. With some basic training, we think that Roxy will make a wonderful addition to her forever family!  Roxy is a little unsure of men so a home with women only or a home that would give her ample time to warm up to the new gentleman in her life would be wonderful.

EVERY DOG HAS A STORY: Roxy and 2 other dogs were abandoned by their owners after the family was evicted from their home. They were taken to rural shelter after spending several days alone outside. BFPA made a commitment to Roxy and one of the other dogs (already adopted) to find them forever homes. The third dog was taken in by another rescue.
