About Dakota_PENDING

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog
  • Housetrained: Yes
STATUS: Dakota is going on an adoption trial with Tracey and Scott Lundy, and their children Jack and Kate -- all of Holly Springs. PERSONALITY TRAITS: Gentle, loving, laid back ~DOB: Oct 2013 WEIGHT: 43 lbs HEALTH STATUS: Dakota is UTD on all vaccinations and monthly preventatives. SPAYED OR NEUTERED: Spayed. MICROCHIPPED: Yes AROUND DOGS: Playful AROUND CATS: Untested AROUND CHILDREN: Dakota is a very gentle and easy going dog. She would do well with children who are calm and gentle with animals. HOUSEBROKEN: Yes CRATETRAINED: Yes LEASH MANNERS: Still learning CAR RIDES: Does very well in the car. FOSTER PARENT COMMENTS: Dakota was initially overwhelmed with all the changes in her life but has quickly blossomed and is happy to be around people who are kind to her. She loves playing with other dogs and plays gently. She is very laid back and enjoys hanging out with her foster family for some down time, preferably with a deer antler to gnaw on! She is eager to learn and her foster family is teaching her manners she will need for her forever home. She would love a companion to spend her days with but that is not a requirement for adoption. She is crated during the day but allowed to sleep in the bed during the night (which she really enjoys!). Dakota is not a barker but will alert if someone she does not know comes to the house. She will make an ideal addition to anyone's family and will need a little time to adjust to a new home. EVERY DOG HAS A STORY: Dakota was rescued from a hoarding situation in Duplin county and because of this feels most comfortable in a home with other dogs that she can bond to.
