AROUND DOGS: Excellent - Thunder loves to cuddle with his larger foster siblings!

AROUND CHILDREN: Thunder is good with dog-savvy children in his foster home who are aged - 3 kids who are 6, 7 and 8. As with all young puppies, great care must be taken around children and puppies.
HOUSEBROKEN: Not completely, but he is doing wonderfully well!
CRATETRAINED: He sleeps in his crate at night or when we are not at home. He whines a bit at first, but then calms down and lays down.
LEASH MANNERS: Thunder has been on the leash to get used to it. He does very well on it and doesnât seem to mind it at all.
CAR RIDES: Thunder loves to go on car rides. He loves to go to carpool and pick up the kids from school.
FOSTER PARENT COMMENTS: Thunder is an adorable, well behaved, sweet and snuggly little guy. He just loves to snuggle on you and loves to be held like a little baby. He also loves to go outside and play in the yard with the kids and our two other dogs. He may be little, but he doesnât let that stop him from playing with our 2 larger dogs. He is wonderful with the kids and we just heard his little bark as he was playing the other day. He likes to eat and then take a nap on my feet as I work at the computer. I am also so surprised at how well he listens and will come to you when you call for him. He is going to bring so much joy to his future family.
EVERY DOG HAS A STORY: This poor little guy and his siblings have been through so much in their short lives so far. They were found under a mobile home when they were just two weeks old. Their mother had gone missing, or abandoned them and sadly two of their siblings had passed away. The remaining puppies were scooped up and placed in loving foster homes where they were bottle fed until ready to be weaned. They have thrived and are happy and healthy puppies. Thunder has a wonderful foster home for him to grow in a home filled with love while this little fluffy bear waits for his forever home.
ADOPTING A YOUNG PUPPY FROM BFPA: requires that you live no further than a 30-mile radius from the Triangle area of North Carolina, as you must be close enough for us to meet all the medical procedures we cover before final adoption. We prefer to adopt young puppies to a single, couple or family who have previous experience owning a dog and live in a single family house rather than an apartment, condo or townhome. Any children in the home under 6 years old must have experience living with a dog in their home.
