~DOB: May 2014
WEIGHT: We think Maddie will be medium sized (under 50lbs.) as an adult dog.
HEALTH STATUS: Maddie is UTD on all vaccinations and on monthly heart worm and flea/tick preventatives.
SPAYED OR NEUTERED: Spayed.
MICRO CHIPPED: Yes.
AROUND DOGS: Maddie loves other dogs and gets along with everyone!
AROUND CATS: Maddie has not been around kitties yet but would probably
stay away from them if challenged by the kitty.
AROUND CHILDREN: Maddie is fine with children, but older children who know how to interact with puppies would be ideal.
HOUSEBROKEN: Yes. Maddie also knows how to use a doggie door!
CRATETRAINED: Puppy in training.
LEASH MANNERS: Working on it.
CAR RIDES: Does well in a car.
FOSTER PARENT COMMENTS: Maddie was pulled from the Montgomery County
Shelter by BFPA volunteers. She was covered in fleas but was otherwise healthy and loving. She has adjusted quickly to loving, safe care and is a happy dog who loves to to play with anyone that is game!
Maddie is still a baby so is learning how to be an inside dog. She is making good progress. Maddie will be a medium size dog so another dog similar in size would be wonderful, although another playmate is not mandatory.
EVERY DOG HAS A STORY: Maddie was originally brought into the Montgomery County shelter as one of six other puppies. Her siblings went to another rescue and she was adopted out for one day but when her adopter decided to go the beach the next day she was returned to the shelter.
