PERSONALITY TRAITS: Friendly, playful, loving, fast learner. ~DOB: October 2013 WEIGHT: Zeus will be a medium sized dog as an adult (under 50lbs.) HEALTH STATUS: Zeus is UTD on all his vaccinations -- including rabies -- and it on monthly heart worm and flea/tick prevention. SPAYED OR NEUTERED: Neutered. MICROCHIPPED: Yes. AROUND DOGS: Friendly with other dogs. Zeus has shown some signs of being protective of his food, but that is because he had no structure, set boundaries or pack leadership in his previous home. He is getting this now in his foster hom. AROUND CATS: Yes, previously lived with a cat AROUND CHILDREN: Unsure, but he is friendly around new people HOUSEBROKEN: Yes. CRATETRAINED: Yes. Zeus' favorite spot is not his crate, but a Kong smeared with peanut butter helps convince him to go in. LEASH MANNERS: Still working on leash manners CAR RIDES: Does well in a crate in the car FOSTER PARENT COMMENTS: Zeus is a sweet puppy that gets along with everyone. He previously lived with two dogs, a cat and a duck – and was friends with all of them! He is currently in a foster home with two other dogs - he plays well with them and takes correction from them well when he gets too rambunctious. Zeus is getting used to sleeping in his crate at night and will calm down and fall asleep within 5-10 minutes and sleep through the night. He is quickly catching on to the fact that nice puppies sit to put on a leash and to get treats or their meals. Zeus wants to be near his people and to please them so training should go quickly. EVERY DOG HAS A STORY: Zeus is the brother of two puppies BFPA rescued from a neglectful situation in January – Simon and Samuel (they have been adopted). The person who took Zeus can no longer care for him. When BFPA learned of this, we admitted him right away to our foster network.
