STATUS: Sage has been adopted by Lindsay and Jason Marr of Apex.
PERSONALITY TRAITS: Playful, loves affection, well-behaved
~DOB: August 2013
WEIGHT: 40lbs
HEALTH STATUS: UTD on all vaccinations and monthly preventatives.
SPAYED OR NEUTERED: Spayed
MICROCHIPPED: Yes
AROUND DOGS: Sage loves other dogs and plays really well. She is not dominant towards other dogs.
AROUND CATS: Sage has not been tested with cats but based on her calm personality we believe she would be respectful of cats.
AROUND CHILDREN: Sage needs a quiet environment so a home without small children would be the best fit for her. Loud noises currently scare her so she is working through these fears of typical household noises.
HOUSEBROKEN: Yes
CRATETRAINED: Yes
LEASH MANNERS: Sage walks well on a leash, but she is still young and learning so a guardian willing to train her would be a great fit for her.
CAR RIDES: She rides well in a car - she will lay quietly and does not needed to be crated.
FOSTER PARENT COMMENTS: Sage is a very gentle and calm dog. She loves to snuggle and hang out with her family. She plays great with other dogs and has learned to use a dog door. She is crated while her foster parents work but enjoys sleeping in the bed at night. She is a quiet dog and is not destructive. She would do best with another dog that is not overly dominant and plays well.
EVERY DOG HAS A STORY: Sage and her sister were dumped in a good samaritan's backyard and were starving at just 15 lbs. Their guardian got the girls back up to a good weight but unfortunately could not keep them due to a pending move to another state. BFPA gladly admitted them. Her sister has already been adopted and Sage is patiently waiting for her forever home.
