About Teddy--ADOPTED

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog
  • Housetrained: Yes
STATUS: Teddy has been adopted by MJ and Eric Heidepriem, their daughter Leah and other dog, Dora -- all of Fuquay Varina. PERSONALITY: Playful, relaxed, loving ~DOB: February 2013 WEIGHT: 14lbs. HEALTH: Teddy is UTD on all vaccinations -- including rabies -- and on monthly heartworm and flea/tick preventatives. STERILIZED: Neutered. MICROCHIPPED: Yes. DOGS: Teddy loves to play with other dogs. CATS: Curious, but very gentle with them. CHILDREN: Relaxed and happy around children. However, because of his small size, children in Teddy's home must be gentle and know how to treat a small dog with kindness ... and not tease him. HOUSEBROKEN: Yes, but needs a routine. CRATETRAINED: In training LEASH MANNERS: Teddy walks very nicely on leash. CAR RIDES: Should be in a crate in the car. Rides well. FOSTER PARENT COMMENTS: Teddy is a delightful little dog. So far he has been possessive of toys and bones around other dogs. That likely comes from whatever previous circumstance he was in. Teddy is learning some basic commands. He is learning to sit, stay and come. EVERY DOG HAS A STORY: Teddy was surrendered to a high kill shelter just before the big snowstorm of February 2014.
