STATUS: Tanner has been adopted by Ashley Montague, Bill Yoder, their daughter Vanessa and their dog Miga -- all of Raleigh.
PERSONALITY: Smart, playful, energetic
~DOB: September 2012
WEIGHT: 27 lbs
HEALTH: Tanner is UTD on all vaccinations -- including rabies -- and on monthly heart worm and flea/tick preventatives.
STERILIZED: Neutered
MICROCHIPPED: Yes
DOGS: Tanner is very interested in playing with other dogs.

CHILDREN: Tanner has been introduced to a dog savvy 3-year-old and it went very well. Since Tanner is still very much a puppy, he has a tendency to jump on people so we recommend that he goes to a family with a bit older children (6-9 years old).
HOUSEBROKEN: In training. Tanner has made tremendous progress and now demonstrates when he has to go out.
CRATETRAINED: In training and doing well.
LEASH MANNERS: In training and doing well.
CAR RIDES: Good
FOSTER PARENT COMMENTS: Tanner is a playful puppy and is learning his place in his foster home. Heâs a very sociable dog and does well with the two small dogs that live there.
Tanner is working hard on learning house manners and getting used to sleeping in a crate at night. He lives to please and his tail is always wagging.
Tanner attended his first adoption event and he was the hit of the event. Heâd be a great addition to a family, even one with children.
EVERY DOG HAS A STORY: Tanner was found wandering on a country road in the Charlotte area. His rescuer (and several others) almost hit him with their cars since he was walking in the middle of the road. He was initially very hesitant but was captured with the help of a Poptart!!!
His rescuer rents an apartment and was unable to keep him. A temporary foster family stepped forward to help him until a permanent arrangement could be made for him (or he gets a forever family).
