BAXTER'S PHOTO and VIDEO GALLERY STATUS: Baxter has been adopted by Billie & Don Latham of Apex. PERSONALITY: Happy, loving, mellow, smart. ~DOB: June 2008 WEIGHT: 33 lbs HEALTH: UTD on all vaccinations and monthly preventatives. STERILIZED: Neutered MICROCHIPPED: Yes DOGS: Excellent CATS: Excellent CHILDREN: Unknown but probably fine with older children who know how to be respectful around smaller dogs. HOUSEBROKEN: Yes CRATETRAINED: Yes LEASH MANNERS: Good for the most part but will occasionally pull. CAR RIDES: Loves them! He is very good in the car. He also loves to ride around on his foster parent's four wheeler on the farm! FOSTER PARENT COMMENTS: Baxter has very good manners and does not beg for food. He loves to be close to you. He is polite when taking treats. He LOVES attention and especially loves to have his belly rubbed. He doesn’t bark very much. Baxter has been confined to a crate for 30 days due to his heartworm treatment. He has been such a trooper during this time and takes medicine well. EVERY DOG HAS A STORY: He was in protective custody at WCAS because his owner was in jail. The owner’s brother decided to let WCAS find Baxter a new home because he felt it was best. It is obvious that he was treated well and loved prior to his surrender. A BFPA supporter learned about Baxter and reached out to us to help this sweet little dog. We do home visits to finalize adoptions and/or deliver the adopted dog. Therefore, we prefer potential adopters live a reasonable distance to the Triangle area (Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill) of North Carolina.

Fee is $225 for dogs, $115 for cats.
