WEIGHT: 17 lbs currently; will probably be around 40-50lbs fully grown

HEALTH STATUS:  UTD on shots, and on flea/tick and heartworm preventative.

SPAYED OR NEUTERED: Spayed

MICROCHIPPED: Yes

AROUND DOGS: Mango is very playful, and is getting along very well with the two older male dogs in her foster home.

AROUND CATS: Mango is cautious around the cat in her foster home, and doesn't appear to be particularly interested in him.

AROUND CHILDREN: Untestd. As with all puppies, care should be taken around young children

HOUSEBROKEN: Puppy in training; she rings training bells when she needs to go outside, but still has the occasional mishap inside.

CRATETRAINED: Puppy in training; she cries for the first few minutes in her crate, and then settles down.  Currently trying to teach her that her crate is a positive, happy place.

LEASH MANNERS:  Puppy in training.

CAR RIDES: Very good while crated in the car.

FOSTER PARENT COMMENTS: Mango, once impossibly timid and shy around humans, has blossomed beautifully in her foster home. When she first arrived at her foster home, she appeared to have had very little contact with people, preferring the company of her foster brothers. Still a little quiet, she warms up quickly, and absolutely adores attention from everyone she meets. Mango enjoys a good scratch behind the ears and loves to cuddle.  She absolutely loves to be outside, where she enjoys laying in the grass and catching some sun.

EVERY DOG HAS A STORY: Mango and her sister, Kiwi, were part of a large litter that were surrendered  to an already overcrowded kill shelter in Montgomery, NC. BFPA together with several other groups were able to rescue these adorable puppies. Kiwi is already on an adoption trial.
