LEASH MANNERS: Ruby walks well on a leash can will pull a bit when excited, otherwise she walks gently and leisurely most of the time.

CAR RIDES: Ruby lays down in the back seat and is a good rider.

FOSTER PARENT COMMENTS: Ruby is a medium size dog but she resembles a Great Dane in her head shape and her ears, one normally stays drooped over! She has been very sweet and friendly when meeting new people and gives tail wags and is a polite dog that does not jump. Ruby loves to play with other dogs, and we believe she will be happiest in a forever home with at least one other dog with which she can bond. A fenced yard would also be a plus. With some basic training, we think that Ruby will make a wonderful addition to her forever family!

EVERY DOG HAS A STORY: Ruby came into BFPA very pregnant and gave birth to 16 puppies, some of which are listed on our website.   She was an excellent mom and now her babies are weaned and off to their new foster homes which gives Ruby a break and let's her have some fun playing with her foster brother George.  Ruby doesn't need to crated and enjoys sleeping on a dog bed as well as playing with her toys.  She is gentle and easy going.  She will make a wonderful companion.
