FOSTER PARENT COMMENTS:

Do you want a dog that is loving yet a little independent and a great companion?  If so, than  Zola may be the dog for you.  She is 5 years old.  Zola is a super dog, very people friendly and sweet.  Zola is quite in the house, but will get vocal if she see's other dogs outside or on walks.  She has a moderate activity level.  She goes on walks around Shelly Lake multiple times per week and takes daily walks around the neighborhood in between.  Zola is super smart and knows the commands, sit, stay and come.  She does well with older, considerate children.

Zola is pack centered and protective. She would do best as the only dog in a household with lots of love.  She is housebroken and well behaved.  She goes about six hours between potty breaks.  She really needs a fenced in yard since she prefers to do her business in her own yard rather than on a leash walk.  She is currently fostered in a townhome with a fenced yard and she does fine with that space.  Zola does not need a crate, she is not destructive when left alone in the house.  When left alone, she prefers the couch to a dog bed.  At night she sleeps on a bed in the spare room, that seems to be her preferred doggie den!

Zola's favorite activities are taking walks, watching squirrels out the patio door and going to the beach.  She is sweet, beautiful, gentle and loving, very well behaved inside and with people.  She is looking for her forever home, could that be with you?

EVERY DOG HAS A STORY:  Zola was adopted as a  puppy from BFPA.  As she grew up, she started having issues with the resident dog.  Her owner tried to work with trainers and vets to come up with a solution but it was obvious that the two dogs were not going to live in peace.  So with much sadness, the owner realized that it was in the best interest to find a new home for Zola where she could be the only dog and surrounded by people who love her.
