FOSTER PARENT COMMENTS: Patty is a very sweet, gentle dog that is extremely easy going.  She gets along great with the 3 dogs and cats in her foster home.  Patty has had limited interaction with kids, but should do fine with dog-savvy children.  Patty loves to lounge on the couch and take lots of naps.  She enjoys going on short walks.  She is both house trained and crate trained and would love to find a laid back family to call her own!

Once in foster care, we discovered that Patty has an old fracture which never received vet care. It causes her front foot to splay out awkwardly and limits her ability to play and go on long walks. Arthrodesis, or joint fusion surgery, is her best option for relief. Patty will be undergoing surgery soon so that she can finally enjoy going on long walks and playing like a typical dog her age.

EVERY DOG HAS A STORY: Patty and her 6 puppies found themselves in an overcrowded rural shelter.  This sweet family was running out of time and BFPA was happy to bring them into our network and help them on their journey to find their forever families.
