We think Kala would be happiest with another dog of like energy in her forever home. Plus a fenced yard! AROUND CATS: Interested but respectful of the dog savvy kitties in her foster home AROUND CHILDREN: Very good HOUSEBROKEN: Puppy in training - doing very well she gets 8/10 for effort! CRATETRAINED: Yes, will cry initially but settles down fairly quickly, she likes to have another dog nearby LEASH MANNERS: excellent! she loves to go for walks with the other dogs in her foster family! CAR RIDES: Does well in the car, whines softly at first. FOSTER PARENT COMMENTS: Kala is very happy and curious about the world around her. She is one of the smartest pups we have fostered. She loves people and bonds really easily. She enjoys going for walks with the larger dogs in her foster family, she plays well with the other dogs, and loves her toys!. We are working on her potty training and she is doing really well. Kala is a quick learner and is extremely eager to please. Kala is excited about finding a forever family of her own! EVERY DOG HAS A STORY: Kala and her brother, Copper (already on an adoption trial) were rescued from a Wayne County shelter where they had been surrendered by their previous owners. BFPA was happy to admit these two adorable pups and help them on their journey to find their forever families! ADOPTING A YOUNG PUPPY FROM BFPA: Requires that you live no further than a 30-mile radius from the Triangle area of North Carolina, as you must be close enough for us to meet all the medical procedures we cover before final adoption. We prefer to adopt young puppies to a single, couple or family who have previous experience owning a dog and live in a single family house rather than an apartment, condo or townhome.
