HOUSEBROKEN: Puppy in training but is already asking to go out and has not had many accidents inside

CRATETRAINED: Yes

LEASH MANNERS: Puppy in training - Aside from thinking her leash is great for chewing on, Willow walks well on leash

CAR RIDES: Willow does well in a crate in the car

FOSTER PARENT COMMENTS: Willow is a fun and very intelligent little girl!  She is highly food motivated which makes training time fun.  Willow would do best in a home with dog savvy Guardians who have prior experience with herding breeds, and who are willing to take her to training classes to ensure she reaches her full potential.  She would also love to have a fenced in yard where she can explore and run around and play.  Willow's favorite pastimes include sneaking up on toys so she can pounce on them, attempting to wrestle with her 60 pound foster sister and learning new tricks.

EVERY DOG HAS A STORY: Willow was found but a Good Samaritan on the side of the road.  When her owners could not be found, her rescuer reached out for help.  BFPA was happy to admit this adorable puppy to our network and help her on her journey to find her forever family.

ADOPTING A YOUNG PUPPY FROM BFPA: Requires that you live no further than a 30-mile radius from the Triangle area of North Carolina, as you must be close enough for us to meet all the medical procedures we cover before final adoption. We prefer to adopt young puppies to a single, couple or family who have previous experience owning a dog and live in a single family house rather than an apartment, condo or townhome. Any children in the home under 6 years old must have experience living with a dog in their home.

Some of the information contained in this biography includes approximations based on our expertise and is not guaranteed. We do home visits to finalize adoptions and/or deliver the adopted dog. Therefore, we prefer potential adopters live a reasonable distance to the Triangle area (Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill) of North Carolina.
