In her foster home, Sage has an older foster sister (also a former BFPA dog) who has been showing her the ropes of walking on a leash, sharing the house with three feline siblings, being crate trained, riding in cars, not begging for food at the table, napping in sunshine spots and getting lots and lots of attention from her humans. Sage is really looking forward to showing off these new skills when she is in her new forever home. EVERY DOG HAS A STORY: Sage was adopted from a high kill rural shelter, and unfortunately returned to the same shelter when her "parent" did not feel he had enough time to spend on her. Kind staff at the shelter brought Sage to BFPA's attention, and we were happy to bring this sweet girl in from the cold, outdoor shelter and help her find her forever family.
