FOSTER PARENT COMMENTS: Baron was originally a hunting dog who is now learning to be part of a family.  He has the instinct to hunt and benefits greatly from doing "nosework" to hunt for his food and toys.  He also really enjoys playing fetch.  We find that giving him 15 minutes of "hunting" time per day greatly helps him to chill out and be a lazy hound dog.  Baron has learned so much in just a few short weeks.  He loves to chew bones, curl up and snuggle on dog beds and he really loves to be snuggled by his humans.  He is getting used to being on a leash and his leash manners are really coming along.  Baron is very intelligent and, when it comes to training, once he gets it, he REALLY gets it!

EVERY DOG HAS A STORY: Baron found himself in an outdoor rural shelter in terrible physical condition.  This poor boy had eye infections and was very skinny.  When BFPA heard of his situation, we were happy to step in and help this sweet and goofy boy on the journey to find his forever family.
