This stunning puppy also has a wonderful personality. Olaf is one of the 13 puppies that were born in BFPA’s care. Olaf has absolutely beautiful blue eyes and there is something else very special about this puppy. When mommy Goldie had to undergo an emergency c-section to save her life as well as the life of the puppies, Olaf accidently lost the tip of his tail during the surgery. He of course healed well and his tail is just now the something everyone talks about. Olaf is very social with people, dogs of all sizes and shapes as well as gets along with farm animals. Olaf loves to cuddle and give kisses. He is very respectful towards other animals and is eager to learn new things. Due to Olaf’s floppy ears and lots of wrinkles, we believe he may be a retriever/blood hound mix. EVERY DOG HAS A STORY: Right before the New Year BFPA was alerted to a highly pregnant dog that was surrendered to a rural and overcrowded shelter. The shelter was so full that not only did they not have an open kennel but they could not house a dog that could give birth at any moment. BFPA has learned that Goldie was surrendered by two men who no longer wanted her because this was the second time she was pregnant. Goldie spent her entire life chained outside and was very emaciated. After Goldie spent only 3 days in BFPA’s care, she went into labor and was rushed to an emergency clinic in the middle of the night as she was struggling to give birth. After an emergency C-section, Goldie gave birth to 13 puppies on December 30, 2015. It was clear to BFPA that she and her babies would have died a painful death if she wasn’t rescued. ADOPTING A YOUNG PUPPY FROM BFPA: Requires that you live no further than a 30-mile radius from the Triangle area of North Carolina, as you must be close enough for us to meet all the medical procedures we cover before final adoption. We prefer to adopt young puppies to a single, couple or family who have previous experience owning a dog and live in a single family house rather than an apartment, condo or townhome. Any children in the home under 6 years old must have experience living with a dog in their home. Some of the information contained in this biography includes approximations based on our expertise and is not guaranteed. We do home visits to finalize adoptions and/or deliver the adopted dog. Therefore, we prefer potential adopters live a reasonable distance to the Triangle area (Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill) of North Carolina. INTERESTED IN ADOPTING OLAF?
