COURTESY LISTING - SEE DISCLAIMER BELOW FOR ADOPTION DETAILS STATUS: Accepting Applications PERSONALITY TRAITS: Loving, Appreciative, Mellow ~DOB: February 2007 WEIGHT: Currently 73 lbs but Maggie is on a diet and will be around 60 lbs at a healthy weight HEALTH STATUS: Maggie is hard of hearing and has some arthritis SPAYED OR NEUTERED: Spayed AROUND DOGS: Good with medium and larger dogs AROUND CATS: Good AROUND CHILDREN: Maggie has not spent much time with children HOUSEBROKEN: Yes LEASH MANNERS: Good CAR RIDES: Does well in the car RESCUER COMMENTS: Maggie is a lovely older girl who was living tied out in the cold under a carport. She came to us overweight and lame. Her strength has increased and she is losing weight. She is housebroken and appears to do well with other dogs, but she has developed resource guarding, so we would recommend her for a home with medium and larger dogs. She was temporarily fostered with a few dozen (a rescue!) cats and paid them no mind. She smiles and kisses and LOVES her weight loss walks down the gravel road to the mailbox. She really needs a home who will continue to feed her appropriately and offer her love and a soft place to land. She craves her own person. She is hard of hearing which makes her smile even more endearing when she looks up and is surprised to see you there.
